BIOGRAPHY
Elizabeth Ensweiler is a doctoral student and has worked in higher education leadership for over two decades, specializing in admissions strategy, enrollment management, and their influence on student success. She is the Associate Dean of Admissions at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. As the Associate Dean of Admissions, she strives to cultivate an environment where every student feels valued and empowered. Her research examines how faculty reviewers and admissions offices evaluate graduate applicants, particularly as external factors have changed over the years, from technology to geopolitical environments. She is interested in evidence-based admissions practices that can help improve first-year retention without compromising academic quality, as well as how technology can influence admissions practices, such as AI.
